LONGRUN ‘CELEBRATE’ GALA – So many miles of smiles
For a few hours, many members of the horse racing community tossed aside work and worries and simply had a night of fun while also giving back to the horses who have given them their careers.
LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society’s semi-annual Gala, with a Canada 150 theme (and you should have seen all the red and white!) was a spectacular night off friends, food and funny, funny stuff.
A live auction brought the house down as bid spotters Larry Attard, Yvonne Schwabe and the incredibly energetic and exciting Billy Tharrenos worked the crowd for 3 items.
The silent auction presented guests with so many beautiful gifts and WOODBINE RACETRACK and it’s chef and amazing staff provided us with great food and lots of wine!
The KARAOKE event, in conjunction with the DJ – Jason – who was on hand, was so much fun and so many good sports came up and sang.
