Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) would like to offer their sincerest condolences to the family of Clifford Blain Haines, official ringmaster of the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival (FTI WEF).

Cliff had the esteemed job of presenting ribbons and winning trophies and coolers to all of the horse show champions and top competitors in Wellington. In 2012, Cliff won the Ramblewood Trophy, given to the person who makes an outstanding contribution during the FTI WEF season. Dressed in his eye-catching red coat, breeches, tall boots and gray top hat, Cliff was a staple at the in-gate of the International Arena at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. He brightened everyone’s day with his constant smile, warm laugh and friendly words of encouragement. He will be greatly missed.

In Cliff’s honor, Equestrian Sport Productions will place a plaque and dedicate the International Arena in-gate area in his name. ESP will also be making a donation to the Canadian Mental Health Association in his memory.

“Cliff was a great friend to everyone at the horse show and we will truly miss him,” stated Equestrian Sport Productions’ CEO Mark Bellissimo. “We will always remember Cliff’s smiling face, everlasting enthusiasm, and gracious character. The show will not be the same without him.”

Cliff was born on December 17, 1949, and passed away on October 13, 2013, at the age of 64.

He was the beloved partner of Amanda Olsen. Loving father of Travis & Justyna Haines. Cherished grandfather of Sawyer and Serena. Sadly missed brother of Carol Pierce (Stan), Ken Haines (Cathy), Diane White (Dave), Arthur Haines, Doug Haines (Jennifer), and Katherine Tipper (Sean). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Remembered by Travis’s mother Jennette Haines and the Fogal family. http://www.obitsforlife.com/obituary/782599/Haines–Clifford.php
