HerosHorses

Horse Canada wants to honour the everyday “Heroes of the Horse” – highlighting the work of people who advocate, promote, care for, rescue or otherwise improve the lives of horses in Canada.

Nominate someone special in your horse’s life, such as a vet, farrier, equine massage therapist, chiropractor or trainer. Also consider people working to improve horses’ well-being and preserve their welfare on a larger scale, like rescue groups, charities and equine associations. Nominations are being accepted now, until July 31st, at www.horse-canada.com/heroes-of-the-horse.

“We look forward to celebrating the hard work of Canada’s Heroes of the Horse and sharing their stories with our readers,” said Amy Harris, managing editor of Horse Canada. “Nominate someone today. Let us know what makes them great, and help us recognize their efforts.”

The finalists will be posted online and a vote will be held from August 10th to September 1st.

The winner’s story will be featured in the November/December issue of Horse Canada and they will receive a plaque, plus $2,000 to continue their work.
