Big turnout (better than the Barbecue, nice to see some jockeys come this time) and a light, breezy and fast moving post position draw. Would probably cut down the length of the interview of the special guest – Alex Anthopoulos was great but it was too long…deadlines to meet!
Everyone seemed happy with their posts, Roger Attfield seems quietly confident, no one will be around for QUEEN’SPLATEKITTEN until Sunday (the colt arrives today) and the filly INGLORIOUS is a popular topic. Owner Vern Dubinsky told THOROUGHBLOG yesterday when asked “Are you nervous, excited, anxious”?
He said, ‘all of those, I have not slept for more than 3 hours each night’.
