SPORTSNET 360 – SUNDAY

Canadian horse racing fans will get a chance to celebrate the last race of one of the world’s most famous, greatest horses on Sunday at Woodbine.

The 40th anniversary of the mighty SECRETARIAT’S romp in the wet and cold at Woodbine will be part of the Canadian International festivities. The events include booths set up for Secretariat art and memorabilia and you can purchase some pieces featuring the great racehorse.

Daily Racing Form also reports that TIME ALERT a local 24 year old son of ‘Big Red’ will return to Woodbine to be paraded.  This chestnut was displayed at Woodbine 3 years ago for LongRun day at the Races and is expected to be at the races again this Sunday. The Secretariat celebration and scarf giveaway for the races on Sunday  will highlight the 76th International and the E P Taylor Stakes.

Many of us passionate racing fans have wall to wall mementos of racing. There is a ton of stuff of Secretariat in my house from the famous Woodbine program page and win ticket, framed, to paintings and his Bobble Head. Of course, a copy of the movie is also a must-have!
