A scene from Christmas 1993.

I’d like to take a moment to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a positive New Year.

I also wanted to thank Horse Canada for publishing my articles. I will only be doing the blog this coming year, so those of you who enjoyed the articles in the magazine please let Horse-Canada know and perhaps they will run another series in 2016!

I also wanted to thank everyone who posted to the blog with comments. I am hoping that 2015 brings us all closer to the tipping point needed to get positive reinforcement training more common place and accepted in the horse world. Together we can make it happen.

I am excited about my blog for the New Year. I have a new project horse. “U” is an ex performance horse who was retired because he was so slow and hard to get to move. I’ll be writing about all the different things we tried and what we found from needing chiropractic to his astounding progress already having been introduced to clicker training so I hope you will all tune in and watch the progress of what we call a cross over horse (one trained traditionally who is then retrained with clicker).

While looking through some old magazines and trying to clean out some stuff I came upon a quote I would like to leave you with: “If men would consider not so much wherin they differ, as werein they agree, there would be far less of uncharitableness and angry feeling in the world.” ~ Joseph Addison
