John Rumble, Woody and Jacqueline Brooks.

Things are almost back to normal at O’Hanlon Eventing. Selena is out teaching three to four hours a day. Her shoulder is healing quickly and she is keen to hear when she can start riding again.

I am not healing in quite such a speedy satisfying fashion, but I am also starting to wonder when I can at least get on a horse and go for a walk. It’s hard to live at a barn and not ride. I am hoping to get the all clear to be back doing some teaching soon.

Woody is at Jacqueline Brooks’ and we hear from her all the time. Selena is looking forward to going to watch Jacqueline riding Woody. His owner, Canadian Olympic Bronze Medalist, John Rumble, has been to watch Jacqueline riding Woody on more than one occasion, and he is thrilled with Woody’s progress. Jacquie is particularly pleased with his flying changes which she says are through evenly on both sides. How exciting!

Our wonderful team of very talented riders are bringing the horses on in leaps and bounds with Selena supervising the program. We are lucky to have some very highly qualified ladies on staff and they have more than stepped up to the plate. Anne Marie Duarte and Tori Morgan have been teaching, riding, grooming, clipping, doing chores, shipping horses, giving clinics……everything right down to doing the grocery shopping for the house. Normally these chores are spread amongst us in a pretty even division. The work load has been intensified for those left standing. 😉
