Samples taken at the 100k CEI1* in Vitron (BEL) on September 4, 2016 from the horse Houkoumi G (FEI ID 104XV97), ridden by Evelyne Stoffel (FEI ID 10128731) to third place, have returned positive for O-Desmethyl-Tramadol, a metabolite of Tramadol.
Tramadol, an opoid analgesic used for pain relief, is a banned substance under the FEI’s Equine Anti-Doping and Controlled Medication Regulations (EADCMRs).
The athlete has been provisionally suspended from the date of notification (12 October 2016). The horse has also been suspended for a two-month period.
