The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is pleased to announce that the 2012 Royal Horse Show will showcase TravelRight, a superior arena footing that will enhance this year’s overall horse show experience.

Designed by FootingFirst, LLC, TravelRight arena footing is a unique product that is designed to absorb the shock of a horse’s hoof rather than being displaced by it. With its slight cushioning effect for riders and jumpers, resistance to tracking, and its property to not compact, TravelRight is used for international competitions and World Cup Qualifiers.

“Across all our competitions, the Royal is striving to offer the best facility. The new horse show footing is an important investment to improve the experience of our competitors,” said John Dunlap, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors, The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. “Great facilities attract great exhibitors.”

In partnership with Guelph University, FootingFirst, LLC is the first footing company to ever engage in a scientific research study to supply the equestrian industry with data and knowledge around the growing high-tech nature of footing.

TravelRight is made of high-grade rubber, the finest sand, fibers and wax that when combined in the right proportions creates footing that is similar to natural turf that provides excellent cushioning. TravelRight is low maintenance, dust-free and does not require an irrigation system.

“We are just delighted to be working the Royal Horse Show,” said Karen Leeming co-founder of FootingFirst, LLC “We have worked with competition venues across North America, and have no doubt the horses and riders will feel the difference in the footing improvements the Royal has committed to for this year’s Horse Show.”

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is the world’s largest combined indoor agricultural and equestrian event. This year, The 90th Royal Agricultural Winter Fair runs November 2-11, 2012 at Exhibition Place in Toronto. Visit www.royalfair.org for more information.
