The world’s number one rider, Scott Brash (GBR), will begin his Longines Global Champions Tour Championship title defense in Miami Beach next month. The 29-year-old will be fighting to secure his third Longines Global Champions Tour Championship title in a row as the leading show jumpers in the world come together in Florida for the thrilling first round of the 2015 season. Having held the position of World No1 since his first Tour victory in 2013, Brash will be a hot favourite going into the Grand Prix, but he will be joined by many of the biggest names in the sport. Just metres from the ocean’s edge in a spectacular beach location, the first of the 10th Anniversary season’s 15 rounds will be hosted by the vibrant city of Miami Beach. Over three days of competition, the greatest riders in the world will come together to battle for $879,000 in prizes across five CSI5* classes, including the world-renowned Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix and the prestigious American Invitational. Admittance to this landmark event will be free to the public, allowing spectators to watch world-class sport up-close and personal from the 1,400 seated grandstand or along the edge of the arena.
