Equine Canada (EC) and the provincial/territorial partners would like to remind the equestrian community that May 30 is the deadline to register an event for Horse Day 2016, which is taking place just around the corner on June 4.

Please note that all events must be registered by the May 30 deadline in order to guarantee the arrival of official Horse Day materials, including gifts for all participants.

In addition, young horse enthusiasts are encouraged to enter the Horse Day 2016 National Drawing Contest. The contest offers exciting prizes to the winners in each of the four age categories (3 to 6, 7 to 9, 10 to 12 and 13 to 16).The deadline to submit entries is June 10, 2016. Full contest details and instructions on how to submit drawings quickly and easily through EC’s online contest portal, can be found on the EC website HERE (and be sure to click on the cartoon for tips and hints on how to draw a horse).
