Irish show jumper, Jessica Kürten, will no longer ride the horses owned by Lady Georgina Forbes. The reason for the split is not clear, although a rep for Kürten confirmed that Forbes no longer wishes for her horses to compete. Five horses belonging to Forbes are currently based in Huenxe, Germany, at Kürten’s facility.

Kürten and Forbes have shared a business relationship for more than eight years. “I have been very fortunate to have celebrated many great victories with the horses from Lady Forbes and I am very grateful for this time. Both parties have profited from this relationship,” said Kürten.

The future for these horses, including the highly successful Castle Forbes Libertina and recent Mechelen World Cup winner, Castle Forbes Mrytille Paulois, remains to be seen. Kürten will continue to care for the horses until further arrangements are made.
