James Fairclough won the CAI2* Horse Four-in-Hand on Sunday June 26th in the 15th edition of the Bromont International Driving, held at the Olympic Equestrian Park.

The New Jersey driver started the obstacle phase with an advance of more than 35 points over his closest rival after the dressage and marathon phases. Fairclough was the only competitor in the CAI2* Horse Four-in-Hand to finish the course with only time faults.

Eugen Hug climbs up the rankings
Canadian driver Eugen Hug, a native of Quebec, used the obstacle phase to climb to second place in the overall rankings of the Four-in-Hand division with his team of crossed French trotters.

Tina Sully, Canadian champion
Ontario’s Tina Sully got the best Canadian result in the CAI2* division, after the three phases of the combined competition, which garanteed the Canadian Champion CAI2* title, with her horse Deer Park Pheonix.

A unique competition
The Bromont International Driving is one of the seven events in all North America, and along with Bécancour (QC), is one of two Equine Canada sanctioned driving competitions in Canada, and the only FEI sanctioned one in the country.
