For the past three years, the sale of Fort Erie Race Track has been in the works, and the deal is set to close as early as this week, according to Jim Thibert, chief executive officer of the Fort Erie Live Racing Consortium.

Bullet News Niagara broke the story July 30th, reporting that the track’s current owner, Nordic Gaming, has sold the 117-year-old facility to buyers in Buffalo, N.Y. It was also noted that the sale will not affect the operations of the Fort Erie Live Racing Consortium, who have been leasing the property.

A press conference will be held, where more information will be available, once the sale is final. Read the article by Bullet News Niagara to learn more.
