William Sorokolit’s Executive Allure went gate to wire to capture Saturday’s co-featured $150,000 Jammed Lovely Stakes, at Woodbine.

Trained by Darwin Banach, the Bold Executive dark bay lacked running room last time out when turning for home behind a wall of horses in the Ruling Angel Stakes, eventually finishing fourth behind Cactus Kris and Jammed Lovely rival Unspurned.

In the Jammed Lovely, a seven furlong sprint for Ontario-bred sophomores, Jesse Campbell gunned Executive Allure to the lead from the outside post and set splits of :22.75 and :45.12 with the 9-5 mutuel favourite Fun in the Desert tracking from the rail.

Unspurned, unhurried early on, rushed up to join the leaders down the backstretch to be second heading into the turn. However, there was no catching Executive Allure who found another gear at the top of the lane and kicked on to a 3 1/2-length victory. Unspurned stayed on for second over Skylander Girl. Executive Allure covered seven furlongs in 1:21.80.

Campbell was pleased to be on the lead in the Jammed Lovely.

“When you’re on the lead, they’ve got to go where you’ve been,” grinned Campbell. “She broke nice and sharp. She was very comfortable on the lead.”

The win marked the second stakes victory of the season for Executive Allure who captured the grassy Passing Mood Stakes on July 12. The talented dark bay also finished second in the Grade 3 Ontario Colleen Stakes on August 23.

Bred in Ontario by her owner, Executive Allure banked $90,000 in victory while improving her record to 4-1-0 from eight starts.

She returned $12.20, $4.90 and $3.70, pairing with Unspurned ($3.10, $2.30) for a $33.60 (8-4) exactor. An 8-4-4 (Skylander Girl, $3.50 to show) triactor was worth $123.40. Aragorn Ami and Russian Jewel were scratched.
