Building off the recent momentum in Ontario including endorsements from Fort Erie Racetrack, the Ontario Harness Horse Association and Ontario-based racing advocacy group Racing Future, EquiLottery, a lottery game based on the results of live horse races, is announcing its sponsorship of the Muskoka Stakes on Canadian Millions Sales Stakes Day at Woodbine Race Track.

“We have obviously made Ontario a central focus of the initial growth plan for EquiLottery,” said EquiLottery Corp. President & CEO Brad Cummings. “While our product has started to be embraced by racing and lottery interests around the world, we feel Ontario is a prime location to be a first adopter. We are excited about the opportunity to be the potential answer to Premier Wynne’s bold and visionary mandate to integrate the Ontario Lottery and horse racing.”

The card of six stakes contests and two allowance races will be held August 27th starting at 6:30 pm eastern time. EquiLottery joins a list of supporters that include title sponsor Ontario Lottery and Gaming. All proceeds will go to support the mission of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society of Ontario.

“This sponsorship represents an important part of our mission,” said Cummings. “We are passionate supporters of the racing industry and believe a rising tide will lift all boats. Wherever EquiLottery is initiated, we will be a ready and willing partner with racing interests well beyond implementation of our core lottery product.”

At the time of this release, racing and lottery interests from 26 states and provinces have expressed interest in EquiLottery as well as representatives from 5 continents since its public unveiling on July 9th. For more information on EquiLottery, visit www.EquiLottery.ca.
