Robbie W, an eight-year-old grey Oldenburg gelding sired by Rubin Royal and owned by Douglas Leatherdale, ridden by Diane Creech of Caistor Centre, ON, has been withdrawn from the Canadian Dressage Team chosen to compete at the 2011 Pan American Games.

Following the selection procedure, the first alternate/substitute horse and rider combination has been named to replace Creech and Robbie W.

Roberta Byng-Morris of Godmanchester, QC, and Reiki Tyme, a 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding by Royal Diamond will join the team to compete at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.

“Unfortunately, Diane Creech and Robbie W will have to withdraw from the team for the Pan Am Games in Mexico. Dr. Alan Manning, Markus Gribbe and I decided that he was just not ready to compete at the games. Roberta Byng-Morris and Reiki Tyme will travel to Mexico to be a part of the team,” said chef d’équipe Gina Smith.

The team will travel via air to Mexico with the United States Dressage Team on October 11, and dressage competition will begin on October 15 at the Guadalajara Country Club with official training and starts with the first day of team competition on October 16.
