The Wellington Equestrian Preservation Alliance is dedicated to protecting the Wellington Equestrian Preserve with the interests of the Wellington equestrian community in mind. On December 6th, the alliance released a report in their fall newsletter focussed on the controversial development plans for the Wellington Equestrian Preserve.
Proposed development for PBIEC Phase II includes a mall, high-rise condos, fairgrounds and an RV park on lands meant for equestrian pursuits. The report refers to the plans as “a thinly veiled scheme to bring commercial development where none has been allowed before, all under the guise of promoting Wellington’s Equestrian Community.”
