Canadian Olympian Evi Strasser of Sainte Adele, QC, earned her fourth WEG-qualifying score with her Oldenburg gelding Quantum Tyme (by Quattro) at CDI5* Hickstead, the same venue where she earned her first score in 2009.

At the fifth stop on the 2010 World Dressage Masters Tour, CDI5* Hickstead, held July 29–August 1, 2010 in the United Kingdom, Strasser and Quantum Tyme placed 12th, earning a score of 66.128% in the Grand Prix test. They also scored 65.000% in the Grand Prix Special, placing ninth.

“Quantum was amazing again in the CDI 5* at Hickstead, which is one of my favourite shows. We had very stiff competition with lots of the top World Cup riders in attendance. I wanted to make sure that we are able to compete against the best and achieve high scores,” said Strasser. “My goal was for Quantum and myself to go to three shows in a row to obtain the scores necessary for the WEG criteria, and if I can do that I know that I prepared myself the right way for WEG.”

The judging panel for CDI5* Hickstead included Stephen Clarke (FEI 5* – GBR); Elizabeth Day (FEI3* – SA); Eduard de Wolff van Westerrode (FEI 4* – NED); Peter Holler (FEI 4* – GER); Karen Kruger (FEI 4* –DEN); David Trott (FEI4* – GBR); Isobel Wessels (FEI 4* GBR);  andCara Whitham (FEI5* CAN).
