At sixty-six years of age, every once in a while I notice that I’m not as young as I used to be. Perhaps I’ll walk when I once would have RUN!!!! Or my neck is a bit stiff. Then there’s that afternoon nap. Bummer…

And, this past July an eighty-eight year old friend of mine died. If she heard me grousing I’m pretty sure she would say to me, “Winnie, are you complaining?” Which got me to thinking…when I’m eighty-eight with a stiffer neck and a few additional quirks, I’ll probably look back on being sixty-six and declare, “You’re Only YOUNG ONCE!!!” So, that’s my mantra. At ninety-five, I’m betting that eighty-eight will look GOOD!
