Jan has been away this week at two different competitions. Sara was competing at the Europeans and Jan also had a young stallion participating in the World Young Horse championships. Both did well! Sara placed in the top 10 out of 60 and the stallion placed 3rd in the B group. Tough, tough competion this year for both horses and riders.

Back here at Tullstorp is been the usual work. I’ve been riding 5 horses a day a few extra then normal. Vitall has had an easy week. There is a link at the bottom to a short video I’ve posted on YouTube that has me riding Vitall through the trails and the track and a tour of the barn.

I had chiropractor come and work on Vitall this week. He was a bit locked in his pelvis which was causing him to be heavy in the front because he couldn’t carry properly behind. We got that sorted out and the guy also showed me some great stretches for his shoulders and legs which I will be doing everyday after riding him. I have notice a difference in just a couple days. We forget as riders that we need to stretch them as much as we stretch ourselves. I feel it is one of the most important things to do. I know I feel 100% better so they must as well.

On Monday Jan is back so it’s back to work. My lessons have been going fantastic and I’m seeing big changes in Vitall. We are planning to do our first PSG sometime in September at a local show and keep preparing for sunshine tour in February.
